In the modern world, many companies carry out their processes and operations on computers and software. Because the data load brought by today’s business volume and operation volume is too high to be followed by old methods. Ever since computers entered our daily lives, business people have been integrating these systems into their companies. With the technology developing in line with the needs, many business software, ERP software, accounting software, software that offers instant location tracking, and employee tracking systems have been developed with the increase in population and workforce.
Because if a company cannot keep track of its employees, assets, business equipment, finances, accounting, supply chain, stock etc., it may find itself falling into an inextricable pit. In addition, these software not only make it easier for managers to follow up their work. At the same time, if used wisely, it allows finding new channels to increase company profits and collecting meaningful data for projects currently underway.
Polikod produces customized software for the needs of companies and integrates it into the ERP software that companies already have. Thus, more efficiency is obtained from Polikod’s software and internal confusion is prevented.
But how does this integration process actualize? Let’s dig into it.
The Polikod application can send its data to another application or be fed with data from another application. These integration processes can be done in different ways.
Integration with File Outputs in Plain Text, Excel or Different Formats
Plain text, excel etc. files can be exported via Polikod software. In this case, it should be specified which fields will be written to the file, in what length and in what format. Files that are outputted via Polikod software are received by other applications. Here, the task of Polikod software is to output the desired file to the Out folder in accordance with the specified format.
Communication on Databases.
This integration can be done unilaterally or mutually. Personnel, payroll, leave, etc. information can be written from one database to another database. These operations can be done in a periodic way as well as instantaneously at certain times.
Both applications should mutually share database server and connection information with each other. The specifications of the tables and fields that will be data communication are shared. It is stated which data should be found in which table and in which field and in what form.
Integrations with API and Web Service
API and Web Services enable applications to communicate with each other over the network. It is necessary to have the right to access the servers where the API or services are published.
In this case, it is necessary to code services or APIs with feeder-receiver features or to share the contact information of coded services or APIs. First of all, information of desired data integration is received/given mutually.
In general, a new coding is required for each integration.
In integrations, matching is generally achieved through the registry or Identity information of the Personnel.
In case the integrations are periodic, on the Polikod’s side, synchronization or data transfer can be achieved at specified times using our Scheduled Tasks and Polikod Windows Service application.
In instant integrations, it communicates with the other application and sends/receives data whenever the information requested to be matched is updated on the Polikod’s side.
